FAQ
Q: What is boudoir photography?
A: Boudoir photography is considered to many, the art of visually capturing beautiful, sensuous and sexy photos of all women regardless of age and weight. The purpose of boudoir photography is to make women look great!
Q: Why have a boudoir shoot?
A: Why not? There are a number of reasons to do a boudoir photoshoot. Here are a few:
* An unforgettable gift for your boyfriend, husband, or partner on occasions such as Valentines, your wedding, anniversaries, birthdays and much more.
* A secret and personal gift to yourself. You know you look good, so get your photo taken and keep the memory forever. How many times have we wished we could pull out a photo of when we looked great, but don't have any. Don't let it happen!
* Self confidence booster. It is a great way to conqueror your fears and inhibitions, no matter how old or what kind of figure you have, boudoir is for all women. You don't have to a model. Gina Chong will make your shoot as relaxing as possible.
Q: Do I need to have modelling experience?
A: NO, Most people are not professional models. We expect that you will be a bit nervous, but that is OK, we will guide you. For ideas, you can also collect clippings of poses you would like to try.
Q: Do I need to be over 18 years old?
A: YES, for boudoir, lingerie, nudes, etc.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Whatever you want! As long as its something you are comfortable in and it makes you feel great, then its perfect!! But really…anything goes…sexy lingerie, fish nets, heels, men’s button down shits and ties, even cute shorts and fun knee highs! If you want these pictures for someone special, its always fun to include something of theirs in the shoot… a favorite hat, a jersey from his/her favorite sports team, etc. It is extremely important that you wear loose clothing on your way to and upon arriving at your boudoir portrait shooting. Also no tight jewelry or watches that could leave marks. This is to avoid any marks on your skin when shooting. Also please come with clean hair, nails and face. Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure before the shoot since your hands and feet will be in a lot of the boudoir portraits.
Q: What about props?
A: You might want to bring other items with you: special jewellery, favourite shoes, or symbolic props. The only limit is your imagination! We also provide a range of props such as lollipops, feather fans, hats, boas, etc.
Q: Do you recommend that I use a make-up artist and hair stylist?
A: If you are really skilled at doing your own makeup and hair styles, and are comfortable with changing the makeup and hair a little bit for different sets, that is fine! I often use Margaret Lai, a well-know Vancouver make-up and hair stylist and she is available for a reasonable fee. Margaret is highly skilled at her craft. You can visit her work at www.margaretlai.com. One thing to keep in mind is that Boudoir Photography is by nature designed to make you look your very best, so, freshly washed and styled hair is a must, and makeup at the end of a business day probably really needs to be taken off and re-applied if you are coming in for an appointment after a day of work. I highly recommend that you try not to do your Boudoir Photography after a full work day!
Q: Who will be at the session?
A: You, me, and on occasion a female assistant or the make-up artist.
Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: Due to government regulations, we are unable to provide you with any sort of alcohol before, during or after the shoot. You are however, more than welcome to bring your own if that takes the edge off your nerves.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Absolutely! Friends are great for moral support, and if they’ll make you feel more comfortable and help you loosen up, then definitely bring them along! Of course there won’t be room for your whole group of friends, but 1 or 2 are more than welcome!
Q: How long does it take to get the images after the session?
A: It typically takes two to four weeks to edit your photos and deliver them to you.
Q: What if I need to change my appointment?
A: To change your appointment, please contact us within three working days of your appointment so we can inform any assistants and/or make up artists. To change your appointment date please call 604-782-6460 asap.
Q: What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A: To cancel your appointment, please contact us within five working days of your appointment. Please note that we will have to charge a cancellation fee of $50 if it falls within the five working days. To cancel your appointment date please call 604-782-6460.

Q: What is a model Release?
A: At the end of every session, I will asked if you would be willing to sign a Model Release Form. The model release would enable me to use your photos in my portfolio (web or printed), and for any promotion I might do for future Boudoir work.
